Stage II Kamenets-Podilsky May 11 - 17, 2005

Participation: Event is open to all pilots, who accept and abide by the FAI Sporting Code and the rules of the Event, and have sent the complete entry form in time. Qualification: each pilot should have at least 50 hours as PIC of hot air balloon by the closing entry date. The organizers are ready to accept not more than 25 pilots at this stage on the under-mentioned conditions. They are the first pilots who will confirm the intention to participate in the Event.

All the participants will compete for "The TNK Power Cup" and among national teams - also for "The Cup of Podillya" during the stage. Formula of team's competition will be available soon. The flights will take place in a picturesque area. The town of Kamyanets-Podilskiy is one of the most famous Ukrainian relics of the past. It is often called "A Pearl on the Stones". The competitors will have also a chance of flying under the bridge "Running fallow-deer" (its height is 57 m, the length is 70 m) over the canyon of the Smotrich River .

This Event will be qualified as a Ukrainian ranking competition.
Mathijs R. de Bruijn has kindly agreed to be the Event Director of this competition.

Entry fee: Participation in this stage - 150 ?. You can pay your Entry Fee at check-in on agreement with the Organizing Committee.

Official languages of competition should be English, Ukrainian and Russian.

The organizers will provide free-of-charge:

• accommodation with meals ( morning sandwich pack and lunch ticket ) for a four persons (pilot + 3) (May 11 through May 16);
• propane;
• maps and all necessary flight information;
• tickets to welcome party and farewell dinner, local excursions and social events;
• souvenirs.

If necessary, for additional crew members hotel accommodation is reserved. A price range: from 10 ? (bed in a double room + dinner). In high-class hotels the higher prices can be charged - from 30 ?.

Rules: The competition will be run under the "AX Model Event Rules - 2004".

The insurance: Participants must be insured to a minimum of 40 000 ? for third parties. Each pilot and each passenger must be insured to a minimum of 25 000 ?. If necessary, the organizers will provide an opportunity for concluding of the insurance agreement at the registration.

Balloons delivery service: If you need assistance to deliver your balloon to Ukraine please contact us and we'll try to help.

Rent a car service will provide you with a chase vehicle (as a rule with a driver). The price will be about 15 ? per day (without fuel). The cost of the fuel is about 0,35 ? per litre.
